Kindness Doesn't Cost A Thing

It’s easy for our egos to trick us into believing that by being kind without receiving kindness in return somehow reflects poorly on us, that somehow this takes something away from us or diminishes the gift of kindness we extended in the first place. Please remember that other people’s treatment of you is in no way a reflection of who you are, as that is not your responsibility to carry. Only your own words and actions are yours to account for. So feel encouraged to continue to be kind, no matter what we may or may not receive in return, for kindness truly costs us nothing, but enriches our own lives as well as the world around us in immeasurable ways.
